Christmas & Beyond!

Matt Smith has spoken to The Metro newspaper (the free paper for morning commuters) about the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special and has labelled it as “brilliant”.

The star of the show went on to talk about the upcoming surprises and treats that were in store for fans on Christmas day:

We’ve got Michael Gambon playing a Scrooge-like miser with a time travelling twist – and I think it’s really, really good…

It’s particularly Christmassy, lots of snow and lots of twinkly lights…I think it’s full of the right heart and soul for the season. Steven has, once again, written something brilliant.

But Matt doesn’t stop there; he also praises Moffat for a new Doctor Who script written for series 6, to be aired in 2011. Don’t worry though, the actor’s giving nothing away:

God, I wish I could tell you the other thing he’s just written, which is just mind-blowing. I think he’s delivered his best script yet. I can’t say anything about it, but it’s bloody brilliant.

What can you tell from these revelations? Absolutely nothing.

How excited can you get? Very.

Doctor Who returns in less than three months on Christmas day, BBC One and BBC One HD!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
