Hines On Tour!

Frazer Hines, known in the Whoniverse for portraying the kilted Troughton companion Jamie McCrimmon, will be traveling around the UK for the rest of the year to talk about his career.

Expect to hear stories about Michael York, Michael Caine, Omar Sharif, and Charlie Chaplin, likely in addition to a few superb tales from the set of Doctor Who!  Hines previously recited his presentation on cruise ships all around Europe, and now his British fans will get to hear them on his and their home soil!

Hines will start on 30th October at the Erin Arts Centre on the Isle of Man.  He’ll then head southeast and be at The Quad in Derby for 4th November, before turning westward to Prestatyn at the Scala Cinema Arts Centre on the 7th.  From there he’ll trek down to Yeovil on 13th November, do a signing at Waterstones, and give his presentation at The Swan Theatre.  This is followed by another Waterstones signing in Truro the very next day.  Finally, it’s back to the North on the 21st, with a storytelling session at The Lass O’Gowrie (which you may remember from our coverage of Vworp 3 earlier this year) in Manchester.

For information about each tour stop and admission rates, click the link corresponding to the location nearest you!  But be warned – not all of the above-linked pages have posted their plans the Hines events just yet.  Keep watching those spaces.  And keep watching this space as well, as Hines is hoping to have the opportunity to extend the tour to even more locations around the country in 2011!

Meanwhile, if you have an urge to get a sample of Hines’ storytelling ability, have a read of this interview with the actor from earlier this year.

It may also interest you to know that Frazer will be acting in the unforgettable, tear-jerking role of Wishee Washee in The Lighthouse Theatre’s production of Aladdin at the Kettering Conference Centre during the Christmas season!

Patrick Riley

Patrick has just been murdered and is currently seated on the edge of a lawn chair wondering when this Missy person will stop demanding his autograph. He probably can't tweet from the grave, but you should follow him anyway @10PatrickRiley.
