We’ve got a couple of fan-made gems to show you today courtesy of the most recent SFX Spurious Awards…
First, to the immediate right of this paragraph, observe the awesomeness that is Bill and Ted surrounded by Daleks. We’ve gotta hand it to Christopher Jones there for doing what many of us have wanted to do for a long time – exterminate those blasted thieves for nicking the time-travelling phone booth concept off our show! Get ’em, Daleks!
At the bottom of this article, you’ll find an embedded video that is perhaps even more amazing than a Doctor Who/Bill and Ted crossover… it’s a Doctor Who/Mario Paint crossover!
Chris Hardwick, that bloke who hosts the Nerdist podcast and sometimes appears on Craig Ferguson’s Late Late Show when the latter fellow is in Who-promotion mode, recreated the Smith/Moffat era theme music in Mario Paint! Ten points to Mr. Hardwick!
Minus ten points to SFX, who used Hardwick’s version of the theme to diss the Colin-Baker-era Trial of a Time Lord mix, which, in this writer’s humble opinion, is one of the better ones. Put me in front of a firing squad if you disagree. But make sure you try me and find me guilty first. See what I did there? No? Oh. Well then…
<Ahem> Anyway, click the play button below!
Brilliant, eh? Go on, watch it again!
