Series 6 Casting Spoilers

An interesting bit of casting has been announced for Series 6 of Doctor Who. Catrin Stewart is listed on her online CV as appearing in the new series, and her character’s name will be (look away now as it may be quite spoilerific)…

Now, this could all be pure coincidence-there are many people in the big old Doctor Who universe that are called that and it’s not necessarily a reveal that it will be the same character from the 2008 episode The Doctor’s Daughter.

We last saw Jenny as she miraculously recovered from a small case of death and decided to head out into the universe to discover what it had to offer. That particular ending for the character was apparently requested by Steven Moffat from Russell T Davies as he obviously had plans for the character, maybe we’re finally going to see what those plans are…or maybe it’s just all one big coincidence.

Catrin has appeared in other TV show’s (other TV shows?) such as Casualty and Misfits. She has also treaded the boards in the play A Doll’s House.

But what do you think? Are we about to see a return of the Doctor’s replicated DNA? Do we even want to? Or are we just jumping the gun and we’ll never see the character again?

Answers on a postcard please…

Of course it is just a character name, one that may or may not be relevant. From time to time these online CVs are briefly inaccurate, so let’s not jump to any conclusions just yet…

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
