Fanwnak Issue#2 Out Now

The new issue of Fanwnak – a Doctor Who fanzine with a dosing of humour and a title that Google’s search engine hates – is available now to order.

The issue comes complete with Fade Away a 10 page colour comic strip by Paul Hanley and Shawn Van Briesen which pays loving tribute to the late, great Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart comes face to face with the Eleventh Doctor.

Also in the issue is another comic strip The Further Adventures of Mel and Glitz which has been written by PING from an idea by Scott Burditt with additional contributions by Grant Foxon and PING who also provides another “At Home with the Who’s” strip.

The issue also comes with a rousing defence of husband and wife writing team Pip and Jane Baker by Matthew Holsman entitled (surprisingly) “Defending Pip and Jane Baker”, a look at Who in the academic world by Matt Barber given the very serious sounding title of “Doctor Who Fans and Academia” and “How to Watch Old Doctor Who” and an attempt to settle on what we should call the second part of Series 6 in the annuls of continuity in David Carey’s “6B or not 6B”.

If that sounds like a lot of word soup don’t worry there’s also a free Tom Baker poster to gently massage your eye balls!

Also if you have an idea for an article, some stunning artwork or a comic strip that you’d like to see in print in the next issue of Fanwnak then get in touch with editor Scott Burditt and you too could get your name mentioned on Kasterborous – which let’s face it will be the peak of your existence.

Fanwnak Issue #2 is available for £4.99 including P&P within the UK and £6.99 Internationally.
