Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock

Eternity Clock Running Slow

Many of you waiting to get your “online hands” on a copy of the new Doctor Who game, The Eternity Clock, may have noticed that it’s not available yet.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock

Don’t despair, it is on its way and the production team are working furiously to deliver their new Doctor Who game to you as soon as possible, only it will now be released in April rather than March. But never mind, how does the old saying go? “Good things…” and all that!
From what we’ve played already, The Eternity Clock is going to be a very entertaining game indeed. Not just for fans of Doctor Who but also for lovers of the platform genre. Distant worlds, old friends and deadly enemies all await the Doctor. The Fall of the Eleventh can wait because The Eternity Clock is ticking and things may never be the same if the Doctor doesn’t put right the damage that it’s done.

If that doesn’t intrigue you, try this exclusive summary of the premise from Executive Producer Simon Harris:

The game opens with the Doctor in the TARDIS, on his own and suddenly drawn into a maelstrom and everything is going mad, the TARDIS is fighting for control, crashes on earth. He realises there is this time maelstrom punching holes in time and it’s encompassing all of the earth and he then does what the Doctor does – he walks out of the door of the TARDIS to find out what’s going on and that’s where the game starts.

Remember also that this is a download only game and so if you happen to be at home on the day of its release, you can start playing straight away rather than waiting for the shops to open. We’ve never had it so good!

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will be released in April 2012 and will be available for download only for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
