Series 7 of Doctor Who has been picking up more and more stars by the day, with Mark Williams (Harry Potter, The Fast Show) recently announced to be playing Rory’s dad while Andrew Brooke has been announced as playing somebody called “The Reckoner” in the Western episode. Garrick Hagon (Biggs in Star Wars) has also been confirmed as appearing in at least one episode.
Now it’s been revealed that Dougray Scott, probably best known to audiences for his role as Sean Ambrose in Mission Impossible 2 and his brief role in Desperate Housewives, will also be appearing in Series 7!
Details of his role are few and far between at this time (it’s entirely possible that it’s just a cameo) but gathering from photos of him on set, his character will feature in a story taking place in the Victorian era (mind you, the same thing could’ve been said of Derek Jacobi’s Professor Yana and look how that turned out).
We’ll be sure to keep you updated with news as we get it and whatever his role is, we anticipate it with the greatest of interest!
