Primevals' Ruth Bradley Joins the Eighth Doctor in a New Series from Big Finish

Primevals’ Ruth Bradley Joins the TARDIS!

Primevals' Ruth Bradley Joins the Eighth Doctor in a New Series from Big FinishThose that are missing the adventures and exploits of the Eighth Doctor need only to hang in there for a few more months, he’s coming back and it’s about time!

(Sorry about that – but it had to be done.)

After a longer than usual gap between adventure, Paul McGann returns to the Big Finish fold this November in an ambitious, exciting and mouth watering box set entitled Dark Eyes. The plot remains very firmly under wraps, we know that the Doctor will be continuing on soon after events of To The Death, the Time Lord Straxus is back in a new regeneration, Toby Jones will be involved and the Daleks are going to be giving the Doctor a whole heap of trouble.

If you visit the Big Finish website however, you’ll be treated to a very special image of Ruth Bradley (Primeval‘s time-travelling Victorian adventuress Emily) in costume as Molly O’ Sullivan, who will play the Doctor’s newest companion. The website explains:

“Molly is a voluntary aid detachment worker (or VAD) who is minding her own business helping the soldiers of the First World War when the Doctor drops in and turns her life upside down. What’s happened to him? Why has he ended up in the War? What part is Molly destined to play in the unfolding battle? Who is the mysterious figure watching from a distance? And why are the Daleks hounding the Doctor once more?”

The image of Bradley in costume was taken by photographer Alex Mallinson as she posed for the various shots, theses are brand new shots for a brand new eighth Doctor series, it almost feels as if the whole thing might actually be appearing on the telly!

Dark Eyes starring Paul McGann as the Doctor will be available as a four disc box set (which will include an extra making of disc as well) from November 2012 for the tiny amount of £20.00. You can pre order your copy by visiting

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
