Gen Con/WhoNAtion 2013

WhoNAtion is looking for volunteers to help out at next year’s Gen Con event in Indianopolis, Indiana.

The convention is held on 15-18th August 2013 and is billed as ‘the best four days in gaming.’ It began in 1968 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and has grown into one of the biggest annual gaming events in North America, with 36,733 people attending last year.

The convention is a mish-mash of every type of game you can imagine –including role-playing, board, war, and even pen-and-paper games! – and WhoNAtion will be on show there. Any potential volunteers can get in touch with Jany, who says:

“With 2013 being the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, we will be working together with the organizers of Gen Con (and hopefully with BBC America) to make an even bigger presence of Doctor Who at this convention… I am very excited to see our dreams slowly come to fruition.”

They’re also looking for sponsors, who will receive memorabilia from their first convention.

WhoNAtion previously organised a meet-and-greet with Nick Briggs (the voice of the Daleks and Cybermen, as well as Big Finish’s head-honcho) and Big Finish producer, Jason Haigh-Ellery.
