Doctor Dancing!

Some recent photos from the set of Doctor Who reveal that Matt Smith’s dancing ability extends beyond the ‘Drunk Giraffe’ glimpsed in The Big Bang.

In between takes, Matt danced about and made faces at the crew, as he filmed throughout the day. The scenes revolved around the TARDIS, parked in a household garden, with the Doctor also waving the sonic screwdriver around. Perhaps it was a sign of boredom, filming without other actors around – but new companion, Jenna-Louise Coleman, joined him later on that night.

Coleman, of course, popped up unexpectedly in the Series 7 opener, Asylum of the Daleks, playing Oswin Oswald, despite showrunner, Steven Moffat, stating that her era on the show would begin at Christmas.

The pictures, available via Mail Online, aren’t spoiler-filled at all, so don’t hesitate to glimpse at the Doctor’s cool new look.

Matt and Jenna are reportedly filming the as-yet-unnamed episode six (rumoured to be called The Bells of Saint John), which premieres the second part of the series, written by Moffat, and directed by Colm McCarthy (Spooks; Injustice).

Previous on-set photos saw the pair on a motorbike, driving alongside a brilliant-red London bus.
