Jenna Louise Coleman, Richard E. Grant and Matt Smith in Doctor Who: The Snowmen

Jenna Louise-Coleman: Doctor Who is “just so much fun!”

Basically, it’s like this: working on Doctor Who is like nothing else on Earth. Every actor or actress involved in the show regularly has said pretty much the same thing but it’s always nice to hear those words through a fresh voice.

Cue the lovely Jenna Louise-Coleman who recently confirmed what we all thought; working on Doctor Who is amazing!

In a small preview video, the actress commented on her arrival in the world of Doctor Who and, whilst coming across as brilliant, talked about her thoughts on her new job:

“It’s just so much fun…there’s no other show or no other job where you can do some of the things that you get to do… It really is a one of a kind show!”

And she’s right, how often can you say that you’re filming a scene in Victorian London one day and then filming a story in the future on another and still claim to be working on the same show?

As Coleman’s journey begins on Doctor Who, the actress is adamant that she is not just a replacement for the Ponds but part of a whole new direction for the show:

“It’s a whole new story, it’s a whole new character…It changes the Doctor and you’ve got to go on that journey and also go on your own journey with it, as well.”

We’ve got a whole new story and a whole new companion to look forward to on Christmas day – roll on December 25th!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
