Matt Smith Set For New Orleans Comic Con!

Attention American Kasterborous readers!!

Do you live near New Orleans? Or are you willing to travel there?

Then you might want to make plans to attend the Wizard World Comic Con event in February!

Scheduled for Friday, 7th to Sunday, 9th of February, Wizard World will be hosting one of 14 comic conventions it has scheduled across the US this year.

And scheduled to appear on Friday and Saturday in New Orleans is Doctor Who‘s very own Matt Smith!

Fresh off his wonderful four-year run as the Eleventh Doctor and his turn in the musical version of American Psycho, Wizard World New Orleans will be Smith’s first convention appearance this year, as well as his first time at a Wizard World event. He is currently scheduled to be available for ticketed autographs and photo ops, and will be part of a Q&A session on one of the days he is scheduled to attend.

The convention will also play host to a number of other celebrities including Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker from AMC’s The Walking Dead, Wil Wheaton, Robert Englund, and Stan Lee, the amazing creator of Spiderman and the X-Men!

So make plans or reschedule your plans for that weekend so you can attend one jam-packed comic convention! (Although of course be aware that these events can be subject to last-minute changes.)

The Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con is scheduled for 7th-9th February at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Visit the Wizard World New Orleans site for specific information on show times and programming schedules.

(The writer can personally attest to how cool Wizard World cons are as she has attended the one in Philadelphia the last two years and she’s hoping WW can get Mr. Smith to come to the Philly convention this year!)

Rebecca is still new to the Who world, but is no stranger to sci-fi, being a life long Trekkie. When not watching, reading, blogging, or talking about Doctor Who, she watches so many movies and reads so many books she has to keep a list of both so she doesn't forget any of them. She wishes she could have been with the Doctor and Amy when they met Van Gogh.
