Cover for The Fate of Krelos Unveiled!

As the weather continues to start getting warmer, so too is Big Finish’s Fourth Doctor range. If artwork is true to plot line, it looks like July’s release is going to be hot as well! That’s right, dear readers,  in anticipation of this summer’s release of Doctor Who: The Fate of Krelos, Big Finish has released the cover artwork for the incoming audio. You can check out the artwork at the top of the article.

In addition, here are the details of the Doctor’s adventure with Leela and K-9:

“There are dark skies on Krelos… and something gigantic is descending. Meanwhile, the Doctor and Leela set off for some fishing in the mountain pools of Krelos. K9 has interfaced with the TARDIS and has reactivated the architectural configuration from the days of the Doctor’s second incarnation. In passing, the Doctor notes it could do with a good clean. And there’s a familiar piece of material snagged on the console. Far up the mountain, an aged explorer is in trouble. Will the Doctor and Leela be able to save him and his planet? And what is it that K9 has discovered in the TARDIS?”

The adventure is penned and directed by Doctor Who/Big Finish’s own Nicholas Briggs. While I’ve never imagined the Doctor having the patience for fishing, the story looks to have the makings of a vet interesting adventure. No trailer has been released quite yet, but we will pass it along when it does.

Doctor Who: The Fate of Krelos is set to release in July. It’s available for preorder now. As always, preorder price is always a bit lower and purchase of the CD grants you a free download as soon as it becomes available (often before the order ships).

Will you be joing the Doctor in search of some mountain fishing? Do let us know, won’t you?

“That’s bacon! Are you trying to poison me?” And from that line on, I’ve been unable to stop watching, reading, musing about the Doctor. As a recent transplant to the Whoniverse, I’ve been trying to soak up as much Who-related knowledge as possible. That journey has taken me from the Tenth Planet to the Fields of Trenzalore and gently set me at the edge of my seat for what’s next. It’s an honor to be here and I plan to bring a unique perspective. I hope you’ll enjoy the journey alongside me.
