Hardwick, Ferguson, and Gallifrey

Chris Hardwick of Nerdist Podcast fame is experiencing a more-extreme-than-usual form of Doctor Who fever.  If you’re reading this from the Gallifrey One convention taking place in Los Angeles this weekend, you may have already seen him wandering around the LAX Marriott Hotel with a camera dressed up as the Tenth Doctor (Chris is, not the camera. Though a camera in a Doctor costume would be a remarkable sight).

The reason?  He’s shooting a segment for CBS’s The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, interviewing stateside Doctor Who mega-fans a bit like himself, possibly to find out what in their right minds could make them turn away from modern American masterpieces like Vampire Diaries, Glee, and Jersey Shore and watch a dull, same-thing-every-week cringe-inducer like Who.  What?  You like Doctor Who as well?  Then we have no idea what could possibly bring you to a totally British-sci-fi-loathing website like Kasterborous.

Hardwick mentioned this upcoming convention appearance when he trotted in after the hindquarters of Ferguson’s trusty dancing horse Secretariat (yes, just like he did on Matt Smith day) on the Late Late Show.  But why are we telling you this when you can just see for yourself?  He doesn’t really start talking about Doctor Who until 5:11, shortly after which Ferguson gets his Doctor-numbering wrong.  Feel free to send him an email.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the Late Late Show over the next week and we’ll see if we can’t post a clip from the Chris Hardwick trip there after its broadcast.  For more information about this year’s Gallifrey One, read our previous article, though as it’s scheduled to conclude on February 20th, we daresay it’s almost over by now.

Patrick has just been murdered and is currently seated on the edge of a lawn chair wondering when this Missy person will stop demanding his autograph. He probably can't tweet from the grave, but you should follow him anyway @10PatrickRiley.
