Bob Baker Screenwriting Workshop & Q&A

It’s always good to learn from the best, and few writers have had the success of Bafta award winner Bob Baker, whose career spans many genres, shows and fictional universes – including Doctor Who.

As the co-creator (with Dave Martin) of K9, Baker added a key element to Doctor Who during its 1970s peak. Beyond Doctor Who – where with Dave Martin he wrote six serials between 1971 and 1977 before contributing a further three scripts solo – his other credits include television scripts for Bergerac, Z Cars, Shoestring and Thick As Thieves.

  • The Claws of Axos (1971)
  • The Mutants (1972)
  • The Three Doctors (1973)
  • The Sontaran Experiment (1975)
  • The Hand of Fear (1976)
  • The Invisible Enemy (1977)
  • Underworld (1978)
  • The Armageddon Factor (1979)
  • Nightmare of Eden (1979)
