Doctor Who: A Visual Guide

To be fair, if you’re not clued up on at least some of the rich history of the Doctor Who universe, then you’ve been living not only with your head in the sand but also with a ton of rocks piled on top of you.

But you could be forgiven if certain details elude you; even the strongest and most faithful fans of Doctor Who have some gaps in their knowledge. It’s what makes the show so inventive and fun: the fact that there’s always more to discover about it.

However, it could be that you’ve just discovered the wonderful world of Doctor Who by tuning into a more recent episode from Series 7 –  and if that’s the case, then welcome! You’re about to jump into a world full of bravery, mystery, heroism, hilarity, madness and sometimes magic.

You may also feel a little overwhelmed after hearing all this news of ‘Fifty years’ this or ‘Multi-Doctor story’ that; trust us, it all gets very fun and very easy to understand after a very short time indeed. If you’re doing it right, you’ll be making up your own Doctor Who universe with the correct continuity for the spin-offs, audio adventures and comic strips in no time.
