Series 7B Episodes 10-13 Synopses

Potential spoilers abound as the aptly named Doctor Who Spoilers have come across brief descriptions of the remaining Series 7B episodes over at BBC South Africa.

We’ll spare you the more widely discussed plots and instead focus on the run up to the end of the series and the start of the anniversary celebrations. Very-mild ‘spoilers’ (more like teasers) follow…

Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS has already been spoken up by Steven Moffat who singled out the episode at the launch of the new series by saying that they had literally ‘built the rest of the TARDIS’.

Salvage crew

Filling in a little of the impetus for the Doctor’s exhibition the outline is as follows:

The TARDIS has crashed, Clara is lost inside, and the Doctor has 30 minutes before his ship explodes!

Of course, the most exciting element is not the impending doom but just what lies beyond the console room!

Following that, we have Mark Gatiss’ second episode, The Crimson Horror, which features mother and daughter Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling and gives us a spooky hint of just what the creatures in the shadows might do to you:

Something ghastly is afoot in Victorian Yorkshire, as bodies are found with their skin a waxy, glowing red.

If that’s too much for you to ‘candle’ [oh, I feel all sick – Sub-Editor] then how about Neil Gaiman’s much heralded return to the Doctor Who fold with Nightmare in Silver – whose description fleshes out a little of the world in which the Cybermen will emerge from:

Hedgewick’s World of Wonders: the perfect theme park day out – and ground zero for a deadly silver resurrection.

And last, and by no mean least comes the final as yet untitled episode which with this brief description (and along with rumours circulating from the location shoot of the 50th anniversary episode) gives us the strongest indication yet that the episode will serve as a gateway to the special later in the year:

Someone is kidnapping the Doctor’s friends, leading him towards the one place in all of time and space that he should never go.

Now, just where could be the one place that ‘he should never go’? Trenzalore…?
